A Wii For Mii

Well...
It's official. I have decided I must purchase a Wii. It will likely be some time after the New Year, perhaps a birthday present for myself.

I came to this conclusion this morning when I saw a commercial for the new Nights game. So that settles that.

Perception is Important

I've had a persistent cough for a couple of weeks now. Yesterday, I went to the doctor. She gave me a prescription for some specific cough syrup, as well as some antibiotics and decongestants. So anyway, yesterday, I took the medicines before eating dinner. No problems.

This morning, I took the medicines and ate breakfast. Some time around 10ish this morning I started getting lightheaded. This led to shortness of breath, dizziness, and nausea. I wasn't sure what the problem was exactly. I tried going to get some fresh air outside. That didn't work. I tried eating a doughnut, but that seemed to make everything much worse.

A little before noon, I wound up leaving to come home and rest. After several hours of resting, I still did not feel any better. Around 4:30-5ish I started feeling a little better. I still feel a little dizzy, but it is much better than before.

I decided to go recheck the bottle of medicine, because I didn't remember seeing anything about dizziness on it before. I reread the warnings on the bottom of the label. It was the typical stuff. "Do not drink alcohol when using this medicine.", "This may be taken with or without food." Something along those lines. Right after reading them, I noticed there was a red label on the SIDE of the bottle that I had not previously seen. In fact, there were two.

One of those as-of-yet unseen labels had the following bold words on it:
"May Cause Dizziness".

Yeah, don't I feel stupid. The other one had smaller text warning against using heavy machinery. I wish my doctor had mentioned this. I mean, for a medicine that is supposed to be taken 4-6 times a day, it should be more friendly to the concept of remaining stable, balanced, and awake.

Grrrr.
